It is extremely rare that a small accent stone may become loose or fall out. If any small accent stones should come out within the first three months we will repair and replace the stone absolutely free including the cost of shipping. Even after that we will repair and replace small accent stones at minimal cost.

Please note that the center stone in any engagement ring or any item is not included in our warranty. Although diamonds are the hardest substance known on earth, it is still possible to break or chip a diamond if struck with enough force at the right angle. We recommend all our customers take an insurance policy out on their ring which covers loss/breakage to the center diamond, as well as loss or theft of the ring as a whole.

Although we do not endorse any particular insurance provider, most customers are happy with Jewelers Mutual.

Our jewelry is designed to withstand the rigors of everyday modern life, but precious metals and delicate stones aren’t invincible, and a bit of TLC can go a long way. Take a peek at our care guide included with each order to better preserve your jewelry.

3. REPAIRS

We are happy to make repairs on any of our items if ever needed. Please reach out to us at michaelhoganjewelry.com to request a repair form.

Please note that the center diamond in any engagement ring is not included in our engagement ring warranty. Although diamonds are the hardest substance known on earth, it is still possible to break or chip a diamond if struck with enough force at the right angle.  If the Centerstone requires tightening, we may be able to accommodate this request for free; however in some cases the prongs may need to be rebuilt due to damage on the part of the customer. We handle these types of cases on a case by case basis.

The pave setting technique is prized for its beautiful display of small diamonds. Pave however requires greater care when wearing and despite the best efforts over the years some of the small Stones may loosen. Even the best of Jewelers are unable to guarantee a stone won't eventually loosen.

On the rare occasion that a small stone comes out we will usually replace it free of charge. Platinum tends to do best in ensuring the security of pave. Rose gold tends to be the least secure. Diamonds hold the best. Eternity pavé requires the greatest care.

That being said, on average only about 1% of our customers report this problem after 5 years of normal use.

Should you need maintenance please reach out to us for assistance.

4. RING SIZING

We understand that sizing your finger can be tricky so please rest assured that if your ring does not fit perfectly we can adjust it.

Resizing does come at additional costs so it is best to try to get your size right the first time. Please see the sizing cost list below.

Your best option is to order one of our affordable ring sizing tools to measure your finger prior to purchase, or you can order one from Amazon. You can also visit your local jeweler to get your finger sized.

To get the process started please send a resize request to michaelhoganjewelry@gmail.com, along with your order number.

Ring sizing starts at $50-$150 depending on the item. You will also need to pay the cost of insured shipping.

Please note that eternity bands, personal message rings or any bands with stones set 360 degrees can not generally be resized, only be remade. We can remake these items at a labor cost of $300 - $500 typically.

5. PAYMENT

We accept secure payments for local & international customers via Credit Cards, Debit Cards, and Apple Pay. We also accept offline payments via direct bank deposit. Cash is not accepted . Please note that exchange fees may apply for currency other than US dollars.

6. STONES

Lab-grown diamonds are diamonds that are created in a laboratory rather than being mined from the earth. They are chemically, physically, and optically identical to natural diamonds, but they are typically less expensive because they are produced in a controlled environment rather than being extracted from the earth.

One way that lab-grown diamonds are produced is through a process called chemical vapor deposition (CVD), in which a thin layer of diamond is grown on a substrate using a process that involves the use of gases. Another way to produce lab-grown diamonds is through high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) synthesis, in which a seed crystal is placed in a pressurized and heated chamber, and the conditions are adjusted to mimic the natural conditions that lead to the formation of diamonds.

Both CVD and HPHT lab-grown diamonds are considered to be of high quality, and they are often used in a variety of applications, including jewelry, industrial tools, and electronic devices.

Earth-mined diamonds, on the other hand, are diamonds that are extracted from the earth through a process known as diamond mining. Diamonds are formed over billions of years under high pressure and temperature conditions deep beneath the earth's surface. They are then brought to the surface through volcanic eruptions or other geologic processes.

Mining for diamonds can be a complex and expensive process, and it can have negative environmental and social impacts, such as deforestation and the disruption of local ecosystems. Earth-mined diamonds also tend to be more expensive than lab-grown diamonds because of the costs associated with extracting them from the earth.

7. INSURANCE

We recommend all our customers take an insurance policy out on their ring which covers loss/breakage to the center diamond, as well as loss or theft of the ring as a whole. Although we do not endorse any particular insurance provider, many of our customers use Jewelers Mutual. A lot of our customers have also been able to get their items insured under their homeowners insurance.
